Members of the Pisay (Philippine Science High School) community, alumni and teachers, have contributed to the efforts of documenting a crucial part of Philippine history. In this micro-site are references to stories, books, articles and blogs that will always help us remember, while continuing to contribute to social justice in various forms.
As of November 2017, there are eleven PSHS alumni who are honored at the Bantayog ng mga Bayani Foundation’s “Wall of Remembrance” as part of their roster of martyrs and heroes. This includes Pisay’s first martyr of the Marcos Dictatorship, Francis Sontillano. The Foundation refers to those who died during Martial Law as “martyrs”, and those who died after this period as “heroes.”
Let this website be a space where we remember and reflect upon how our PSHS alumni martyrs and heroes heeded the call of the times and offered their lives, as they fought for the right, and searched for the untarnished truth.
