The struggle of memory against forgetting.
Bantayog ng mga Bayani Foundation Inc. tells the stories about the dark days of the Marcos dictatorship and the valor of the Filipino people who fought against it to regain democracy. For 38 years, Bantayog has pushed back against attempts to erase the memories of the dictatorship from the consciousness of the Filipino people,
We draw inspiration from people who have persevered in their commitment despite the continued threat of repression even after the EDSA People Power. Many of these valiant people have gone to eternal rest. But some of them are still around and continue to make meaningful contributions to Bantayog and the nation, unmindful of their physical difficulties and advancing age.
Today, in solidarity with the Filipino nation celebrating Araw ny Kagitingan, Bantayog celebrates these men and women, who like many of our countrymen love this nation and fought for its freedom in various ways.
